Miles Traveled 141
Total Miles Traveled 7053
After Dad did a church service, we packed up and moved to the northern edge of Olympic National Park. We camped at a beautiful campground on the strait of Juan de Fuca. Mom thought it was named after some lady named Wonda Fooka, until she looked at the map and has been a joke ever since. We set up had lunch and headed for Hurricane Ridge. It was a curvy windy trip up the mountain even though it was completely foggy it was still interesting because of the snow, Black Tail dear, wild flowers, and the fact that Rachel was driving. The highlight of the day was the sunset looking across the strait of Wandafooka:-) with the mountains of Vancouver in the background.

  1. Jon and all,
Visit Dungeness Spit (down the hill, near Sequim) if you have the time. Sounds like you're having loads of fun - keep up the blogging for those of us not on vacation. :-)

    Regards,
    Bill Walden

  2. Terry,
We went to Dungeness Spit too. Remember? We had been guessing where you would go next and you surprised us !!You have a long drive home yet. Hopefully you are not going to miss Yellowstone. Dad wants to know how you are going to get across the bay. Remember we took the ferry. All is well here. Dogs are doing well. Prince likes to sleep on the picnic table :-) Love, DAD and MOM

  3. Hello! I'm enjoying your blog. It's great to see all the photos, and it looks like you're having a wonderful trip. Which did you like better, seeing the Redwoods, or the Sequoias? And, happy belated birthday, Terry and Rachel. From, Lisa Schmidt
